The Center for Teaching is pleased to share that Katlyn O'Shaugnessy has been accepted into the Scholarly Teaching Program. With support from the Excellence in Teaching and Learning and the Faculty Success SPARC committees, this new program supports teaching-focused faculty to engage with evidence-based teaching practices, develop a professional network across campus, and attend a teaching and learning conference.
Participants join a cohort of other teaching-focused faculty from across campus, and receive financial support (registration, travel costs, and per diem) to travel to a teaching and learning conference. This semester, participants will attend the Teaching Professor Conference in Washington, D.C., June 6-8. Previous participants have noted that they have returned from their conference with enhanced confidence in their teaching and greater awareness of how to implement evidence-based teaching strategies.
