Cinda earned her PhD in English from the University of Iowa in 2001 and is an Professor of Instruction in the Rhetoric Department and director of the UI Speaking Center.

Wayne became a Lecturer in the Department of Rhetoric in 2016, and he was promoted to Associate Professor of Instruction in 2021.
