Congratulations to Annie Sand on being chosen as the recipient of the 2026 Honors Teaching Award. 

Each year the University Honors Program sends out a call to its students for nominations for instructors who are exceptional in teaching honors students. The Honors Program staff then selects the awardee from the nominees.  This award's purpose is to acknowledge the critical and central role honors faculty play in the experience our students have at the university and in our program. 

It’s people like Annie that make the University of Iowa Honors Program not only a place for students to learn, but also a place to call home.
